Ride together, experience more – with Group Rides!
What’s better than discovering the perfect road on your motorbike? Sharing that ride with other bikers, of course! With our Group Rides feature, you can organise your group rides more easily, navigate together, and see each other live on the map. No more annoying waiting at junctions, no worrying that someone gets left behind. Just set off together and make memories.How it works:
1. Select a ride or plan a new one
Open a ride you’ve already saved or plan a new route. If you’re planning a new ride, make sure you save it first.2. Invite your friends
Go to your rides overview or open the ride directly on the map. Tap the three-dot menu and select “Invite others to the ride”. You now have several options for adding your co-riders:
- By username: Enter your co-riders’ calimoto usernames and send the invitation.
- From your recent contacts: Simply pick from your list of recently used contacts. One tap is enough to add that rider to your group ride.
- Share via link: Share an invitation link to your group ride, for example directly via WhatsApp. Anyone who opens the link will be added to the group ride.
- Via QR code: Show the QR code for your group ride. Everyone who scans it will be signed up for the group ride straight away. Perfect if you’re meeting in person before you set off!
3. Find the ride in “Group Rides”
As soon as the invitation has been sent, the ride will appear for you under “Group Rides”. Your co-riders also receive the ride, and it will additionally appear in their normal rides list.
4. Check your participants and get ready to ride
Open the ride and check whether all co-riders have been added. Tap “View on the map” to see the planned route with all participants.
5. Start navigation & share your live location
Tap “Start navigation” to start the ride. Choose whether you want to share your location with the group. We recommend keeping this switched on.
Stay connected at all times: All co-riders who have location sharing enabled now appear on the map with their profile pictures instead of just as blue dots like before. That way you can see at a glance who is where and keep track of the whole group!

Keep live tracking enabled so you can always see where your co-riders are.
