Tour of the month October: Faak - Bled - Lake Wörth

Before the season slowly comes to an end, we have one last tour of the month for you from Worldofbikers.de. Björn Thiele rode with the guys from Würzburg Village's Harley-Davidson during this year's European Bike Week and their route is a great reminder why it's always worthwhile to get on a motorcycle. So let's get to it!

Off we go! 🏍

The tour starts in the market square in Finkenstein on Lake Faak, the hub of Harley-Davidson Würzburg Village during European Bike Week. A few kilometers from there, we reach the first ascent that leads us up the Wurzenpass. Here, on the side of the road, you can take a look at a historic army tank from World War II.

After crossing the mountain pass, we decend to Podkoren and continue on to our tour's main destination, Lake Bled, where you can stop for a bite to eat at the very biker-friendly, lake-side restaurant Pension Mlino. The absolute, must-try culinary highlight is "Bled cream slice." You shouldn't continue the tour without ordering one. ;)

After our delightful and delicious pitstop, we head north of Bled on small mountain sideroads towards Podljubelj, where we again climb the mountains through numerous curves and hairpin bends, back towards Austria via Loiblpass. Continuing on, we don't head back to our starting point by the fastest route, but instead follow the picturesque shores of Lake Wörth at a relaxed pace to Lake Faak.

With a calimeter of 98, we've even topped September's tour of the month and we want to again thank Björn Thiele from Worldofbikers.de for his great contribution. In the past months we've gone from the Westerwald, over the northern Sauerland, to South Tyrol, and the Salzburger countryside, all the way to this fabulous finale. Be sure to check out our Caliblog if you missed any of it.

Do you have a tour of the month that you would like to share? Then follow our social media channels and stay tuned! We plan to feature more tours in the future. But until then, open this tour and start planning your next ride, before the season is completely over. 😎
